The majority of your child's learning needs will be supported or addressed by high quality, differentiated teaching in the classroom. However, additional support can be provided by the Learning Support Department.
Our department offers advice and support for all students with additional learning needs. We have a committed team of Learning Support Assistants headed up by the SEN Coordinator and Assistant SENCo.
In addition, all teachers are informed of a student’s SEN by the SENCo via the SEN Register and Student Information Sheets.
What we offer:
|One-to-one or small group reading and spelling tuition
|Small group literacy support
|| Social skills group work
|Self-esteem group work
||In class support by experienced Learning Support Assistants
|Educational assessment by SENCo
|| Assessment for exam access arrangements
|Lunch Club – a place to come to
|Modified large print for visually impaired (VI) students
