Welcome to the Humanities Faculty at the Cavendish School. We are a team of teachers who are highly committed and talented individuals whose aim is to provide our students with outstanding learning and teaching. We have a vision in everything we do to strive for excellence. The world around us is constantly changing and we take seriously our responsibility in preparing young people for life outside of school. We do this through engaging lessons with active learning tasks, challenge and inspiring teaching where students are rewarded for their hard work and effort.
We regularly provide out of hours learning opportunities including a range of educational trips and visits, inviting guest speakers and enrichment clubs. The Humanities Faculty uses a vast range of teaching resources including artefacts, film, music and software in order that students fulfill their potential in their learning. All students study History, Geography and RE at Key Stage 3 and then many go on to choose Humanities subjects for GCSE. We are a thriving faculty and consider our student centred approaches to learning a strength of the faculty.
We always welcome feedback from students and parents so I would like to take this opportunity to invite you to contact us if you have any queries, questions or feedback for staff.
